Why?
Current K2 version 2.4.1 is only Joomla 1.5 native and not 1.6 ready.

We may upgrade the current K2 template line up to work with K2 on Joomla 1.6 depending on the migration route needed
New K2 templates for Joomla! 1.6 will be created in due course.
